I am totally addicted to traveling. I especially love leading student trips. Here are some of my trips: Peru 2009 In February of '09 I led a group of 12 students and 2 adults on a 15 day journey through south central Peru. We spent a day in Lima and then 12 day in and around Cuzco. We hiked Ollytaytambo, saw Saqsawaman, spent a night in Aguas Calientes, and an entire day exploring Machu Picchu. We rode horses in the mountains above Cozco, went to a Cuzco/Lima soccer game with 40,000 other people, and spent three days living at the Casa del Milagros orphanage. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Athens Rome Chamonix 2007 In February of '07 I led a group of 36 students and 5 adults on a 17 romp around Mediterranean Europe. We started with three days in Athens and surrounding areas. After a night out on the coast we took an overnight ferry to Italy where we spent the next 7 days going from city to city by bus. We toured Naples, Capri, Pompeii, Rome, The Vatican City, Florence, and Assisi. To cap off the trip we spent 3 days skiing in Chamonix. Washington, DC - October '06 In '05 year my advisory set the goal of traveling to at least one far off location every year.... so in '06 we decided to go to Washington, DC to see the sights and look at colleges. We ended up seeing Washington, DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis. Along the way we saw St. Johns, The Naval Academy, downtown Annapolis, Goucher, Johns Hopkins, Baltimore's Inner Harbor, The White House, The Washington Mall, Georgetown, George Washington, American University, and the Aquatic Gardens in Washington, DC. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() New York City - December '05 At the beginning of the fall '05 semester my advisory and I came up with the idea to travel to NYC -- so we went! We spent a full day in the city and saw the NYC Public Library, RCMH, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, FAO Schwarz, skated in Central park, walked down Times Square at night, and went up the Empire State Building. We had way, way too much fun. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Green Day - September '05 Mr. Ehrean and I took a group of 19 students to Montreal and joined 30,000+ people for 5 hours of rock and roll. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Eastern Europe 2005 For my first international trip I lead 22 students on a trip to Prague, Vienna, Budapest, and Slovenia. Trip highlights include seeing the Czech Philharmonic, seeing Stephendom, eating at Gundel, touring a concentration camp, and skiing in the Slovenian Alps. There's nothing quite like Eastern Europe. Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate I travel constantly with the SJA Ultimate teams. We have made many, many trips to MA and other places such a CT and NY. Our biggest trip each year is to Amherst, MA to participate in a very large Ultimate tournament. Every year we stay at my parent's house in Leverett, MA and have an absolute blast. This year 40 students stayed in and around my parents house. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
